On July 1 2016, the Minister Ségolène Royal presented the list of the 68 prizewinners in the ORPLAST competition (“PLASTics Recyling Objective”), set up jointly by ADEME and the Ministry of the Environment, Energy and the Sea. These 68 French companies in the Plastics Technology industry were selected from among 140 candidates, and will receive about 15 million Euros to support them in their long term integration of Recycled Plastics.
Silvadec is thus one of the 3 prizewinners from Brittany, and is thus rewarded for its will to give priority to recycled plastics rather than virgin plastic, to preserve resources. The company had replied to ADEME’s call for projects issued in the month of January, highlighting its ongoing efforts to adapt its production process. The entreprise once again confirms its environmental commitment through this approach that is compatible with a logic of circular economics.
Silvadec now benefits from major support (investment aids, support for the procurement of recycled plastics, subsidies for feasibility studies and tests), that will help to consolidate its objectives in terms of recycling and the struggle against waste.
